The Confrontation

An image commissioned for a friend of two of her characters meeting in an underground office. I wanted to give the environment a lavish, lived in feel.

Before I started sketching, I made a full reference of the character's office. It's a bit barebones, but it helped me figure out where everything was in the room, even if I ended up moving some things around!

While I do feel the shading added depth and dimension to the office, the line art by itself shows off the detailing of the carpet and scroll shelf better.
